ANU School of Demography Symposium on Gender and Population
Date & Time
12 September 2025
09:30 AM
- 03:30 PM
Timezone
(UTC+10:00) Australia/Sydney
Gender gaps in Australia’s population are evident across many dimensions — from life expectancy and health outcomes to education, work, income, and family life. These differences affect the nation’s demographic trends, social equity, and economic development. Moreover, gender identities themselves are shifting. Understanding these dynamics requires nuanced data, careful analysis, and open dialogue between researchers and policymakers.
We’re delighted to share that the symposium is now also available online. This means you can be part of the conversation whether you’re joining us on campus at ANU or tuning in from anywhere in Australia or beyond.
