Other Ways of Studying Demography
Australian National University - Micro-Credentials:
The ANU offers a number of two-day courses under the university's Micro-Credential banner. These include courses on:
- Comparing Populations
- Time to Event Analysis
- Population Projections
- Life Tables
These offer a fantastic way to learn new demographic skills or refresh an area of analysis. Courses are usually offered once per year. Dr Lisa Denny
Lisa is a systems thinker, demographer, researcher and educator. She can work with you to better understand the inter-related nature of socio-demographic change through research, data analysis and interpretation of complex economic and social issues using a systems thinking lens, in your context, so that you can make informed decisions.
Dr Tom Wilson
Tom is an experienced demographic modeller and data analyst specialising in population projections, household projections, demographic data analysis, and understanding local demographic change. Tom has over 25 years’ experience in demographic research and practice, and have worked in the academic sector, the public service, and consulting. Tom is passionate about understanding Australian demography, and modelling future demographic trends.
